IC 3777 is a star at Schwassmann's position. Wolfgang, in his first list, took VCC 2054 as the IC object, but this is wrong. The galaxy is over an arcmin away from the nominal position, and neither RA nor Dec has reasonable digit errors to explain the offset.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
