IC 2905 is a star. Unfortunately, its image is hidden behind a defect on the print of the original plate -- I do not know if this defect is only on the print or is also on the plate. However, the "* 14 nf 3/4 arcmin" mentioned by Wolf in his note is clearly seen on the print, so shows us just where Wolf's object should be. As usual, his position is pretty good.
