A scattering of bright stars in a rich galactic starfield, a handful of 6th to 8th magnitude highlight a 30' area about 1.5° northeast of NGC 2244, coarse, fully resolved, stars 6th to 10th magnitude the brightest of which is V640 Mon in the northeast margin of the clump
WEBDA lists this as a cluster with reasonable data, Archinal & Hynes also lists Cr 106 as a cluster
