IC 2328 is a defect or an asteroid trail, verified on a print of the original plate. There are no objects visible in its location on the POSS1. The image is a bit elongated, and given that the ecliptic passes through the plate, this might be an asteroid trail. The nearest star is nearly an arcmin northeast. See IC 2262.― IC Notes by Harold Corwin
