Oct 26, 2003    Farnsworth Ranch, Pima Co., AZ (map)
46cm f/4.5 Deep Violet

Decent edge-on spiral, elongated east-west with a clear dust lane visible somewhat north of the central bulge, two very bright stars to the north (6.6 magnitude 7' northwest and 7.6magnitude 7.5' northeast)
