The eastern star of a delicate pair of 8th magnitude white stars, part of Σ 761 a lovely trio of stars 8' northwest of σ Ori, Struve assembled this with the 7.7th magnitude HD 294271 as the primary and the 8th magnitude 8" pair HD 294272 as members B and C.
